There was a new revival in Christianity in 1880 AD.The priests of Christianity came to kandy and one of the priest tried to promote Christianity in kegalle .As the result of this incident ,this school was commenced in 1892 AD.It was governed by the mission assembly ad this school was also known as C.M.S .

This school had been started  as girl’s school with fifteen girls in 1982 AD.the initial staff consisted of two teachers .There was children’s home near the church ..It is  still seen near this school .It’s children are still studying in this school.there were carpentry school ,sewing school and a paper mill near this school. These institutions were used for job opportunities after studying .The ruins of these institutions cannot be found now.consequencently ,they had destroyed.

 This school had been arrogated by the government on 3^rd may in1962. At that time ,both boys and girls could study in this school.It was begun with the objective of promoting Christianity was the main subject in this school at that time.One of the priest  ruled this school and the priest worked as a teacher .Rev.father C.F Fernando was the first principal of this school .But at present ,the principal of this school must be a Buddhist.Although the history is short,A progress can be seen in educational,physical,human and the all fields.
